His first release in 2007, 'Namastey London' was critically and commercially successful and his performance earned him a Best Actor nomination at the Filmfare. Then came 'Heyy Babyy' (2007) and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' (2007). Akshay Kumar's last release of the year, 'Welcome' (2007) did well at the box office.
Akshay Kumar made his small screen debut as an anchor on the television channel, Colors’ 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' (2008), a reality show.
