| I am ready to hear the three magical words... | |||
Thanks to blogs , twitter , Face book I have had the advantage of interacting with thousands of fans all over the world and 85 % of people I have met n interacted with ,ask me why am I single since so long almost 4 years . Even though I can say I don't have to explain my personal life "BUT" being a public personality I feel its my duty at least to let my fans know what I think about "Love" n the dreaded word :) "Sex". Love I feel is what makes everything in this world go round, mind you it could be "LOVE" or merely the "ABSENCE OF LOVE" which can change a persons life forever .Once I was in love also (with a Swiss diplomat whom I was engaged to) n I use to think that my whole world is just him n me n us . When that fell apart after 3 years of immense closeness I too fell apart n HOW .
Little did I know in last 6 years of trying to get over him n dealing with the immense excruciating pain of loosing the (at that time) most important thing in my life would I find the greatest gift of all ... LOVING MYSELF FIRST ! I found love in my work , I found love in my human rights activity,I found a new found closeness to my parents and I found friends whose unconditional love made me a human being I am very proud of . I now sit and think ,had I succumbed to what I interpreted as LOVE I would have never discovered myself and most important .. What it is that I really want in my life !When we love we forget that love is about not only Loving another but also about being loved back equally .
Love is eternalLove is meant to make us growLove is meant to make us safeLove is meant to healLove is meant to inspire us with it's powerLove can renewLove is meant to bring us closer to God Still most of us want to "get into" or "Hang onto" what we think is LOVE or what gives us immediate comfort .
we are scared of facing ourselves alone .. why I wonder .. 4 years ago I was in a book shop at the airport and a book fell on my head from an upper shelf dazing me ( I was so negative that time that I thought wow the whole universe is conspiring against me to make a normal day even worse:).. Back to the point ...well to my utter surprise two copies of a book called THE SECRET fell on me .
My life changed forever after that and began the self healing process . It took time but I realized that I have to take charge of my life ... most of all get over of being in the constant feeling of being UNLOVED .
Sadly many people enter lifelong relationships where love fades away n its nothing but a companionship of conveniences without growing in its inner dimensions.That is something I didn't want .
I want Love that is real, love that is emotionally quenching , love that is .. well ..LOVE.How am I going to get all that If I am a walking psychologically disturbed emotional time bomb .
It is unfair to dump our insecurities on an unsuspecting person n expect them to quench our Love led demands . Ultimately out of unlimited expectations relationships fall apart and we end up thinking Love is a loosing gameLove is compromiseLove is struggleLove hurts (The worst one i have heard)If that's what you are experiencing ... well.... I am sorry to say you are experiencing anything but Love. Its an illusion so WAKE UP ....Start Loving yourself first ... that's what I have been doing ..its difficult but its a great feeling .
By loving yourself I mean having a healthy respect for what you are n what you have . Only when you can fill yourself up can you give anyone anything . To most women I would like to advise "try being the kind of man you would like to marry" then you don't end up with a partner who is nothing but a wish fulfillment of what "you" actually wanted to do and wanted to be .Now that I am secure n fulfilled as a human I am now ready to SHARE my life with my perfect partner who I know will come along because they always do when you are ready .
Paulo Coelho wrote about the amazing concept of how soul mates are formed in the first place ..."In certain reincarnations we divide into two. Our soul divides as do crystals,cells,stars and plants.
Our soul divides into two, those two souls are in turn transformed into two and so within a few generations we are scattered over a large part of earth. When a soul divides it always divides into a Male and female part." ....... i guess that explains meeting more then one soul mate in one lifetime :) So don't get upset if you cant manage to hang on to whom you think was also a soul mate ... we have predestined the one we will spend this lifetime with and it will happen just believe and be positive .
Love is no respecter of reasons it IS going to happen sooner or later , so be positive and spend that time in getting to know yourself and loving your self . God is kind until you meet your soul mate he will keep sending you love in form of friends, family, pets, books, work... in the process don't forget when you find your soul mate that Love is about loving everyone and everything equally ... You will always have a contended relationship.
As for me I am now ready to hear the three magical words ICH LEIBE DICH in any language ... so may it come to me NOW ... ;)

I am not sure if this comment would be read by you. I could imagine stepping on the moon but reaching out to celebrities has never occured to me. Its a thrill just to be knowing that I am writing to you. I couldnt agree more with your prespective on love and loving yourself the way you want to be loved. I have been your fan right from the Femina Miss India to the Miss Universe peagent and to the first movie Janasheen. It was then and now you have come so far. Congratulations! I hope the project with Sean Connery is shaping well. Will definitely watch that movie although I cant promise to see upcoming 'Accident on the Hill Road'. I dont think I will have that here in cinema. Come over to Europe to promote movies. I am from Germany. We have many belgisch, turkisch and english ppl who love bollywood.
