Topic owner: Kapil Munshi: What a game it was ... almost 850 runs scored in a day...Rajkot pitch saw two of the best innings by two of the best batsman from both the teams.... After a hard struggled India defeated Srilanka in the first ODI by 3 runs... Lets congratulate & wish our men in blue!!!

At the end India hold the nerve better than Srilanka....but i must have to say that Srilanka played outstanding.Good fight but hard luck for Srilanka.best of luck India for the next 4 game.

The game had a mind blowing finish.. I thought India has made a mockery of defending this huge total when Harbhajan dropped Sangakara.. but suddenly Zaheer and Nehra started bowling Yorkers at a consistent rate.. refreshing to see that from Indian fast bowlers... and the 3 run outs in the end sealed the match.... this proves ODIs are still better than T20s.
