We do discrimination based on colour, religion, state, region within states, language, caste bla bla bla. North Indian beaten in Maharashtra, 1984 Sikh riots, Godhra riots,can write 20 pages on the discrimination in India.
On the other hand i have been in Australia for about 3 years and started working in a call centre whose incharge was Indian. I didnt got any promotion for about 1 year even while being the best performer and on the other side other white new comers were promoted by him. I was chosen by my new White boss in other department within the company and was further promoted within 2 months because of performance. I have since changed my company and in the downturn my white boss made 2 of my other white collegues redundant but i am still working. This is what type of discrimnation is happening in Australia. Now you decide.

Are you saying that beating of Indian students is justified because of 1984 Sikh genocide and Godhra riots? This is not a fair comparision. Indians have blood on their hands when they killed thousands of innocent Sikhs on the streets of Delhi and other cities. Eversince, the Government in particular and public in general have tried to sweep the issue under the carpet. The Sikhs will never forget it and the guilt will hound the Indians forever. But this does not justify attacks on another group of innocent students. Australian Government has been racist for years and curry bashing has been going on for a long time. It has just gained momentum because of the sizeable Indian student presence there. Shameful response from the Australian Police, Government, and public ....
