Topic owner: Thommen Jose: Hi everyone. There is Celina attached to The Cause, giving it visibility like never before. There is The Parade coming up on the 28th; a vehement attempt to make it a movement. But, what from the 29th onwards?
I am a communication consultant and as part of my work for the CSR division of Hindustan Latex, I have worked with gays and transgenders (TG) communities of AP; I am still in touch with some of them. They are all my friends. Developing communication materials for sexual health was my assignment at that time. Now I keep in touch just to know whats happening in their lives. One of them committed suicide and anothe died of AIDS.
Both these are the results of the oppression and the trauma as a result of Article 377, I can say for I have seen them subject to oppression.
To make a long one short, let there be a committed, continuous voice that can be heard as one. Let The Parade be the beginning. Meantime, thanking Celina Jaitley and the Times group for the marvelous initiative.

hello dear !!
you are right !! there are million other problems in life beside being gay !!
people perceive gay behavior as abnormal and psychiatrist disorders , i see this that gays suffre with depression due to 24*7 pressure of hiding the imp truth from everyone even there loved ones !!
gays get discarded by family and friends if they come out someday !!
this unavoidable desperation and unability to express sexuality in open lead to unprotected sex when he gets the chance , raising the chance of AIDS and other disease !!
lets stay united, try and stand beside each other !!

Let's together say:
"Article 377 is a pitiful low,
Inhuman, draconic, it has to go."
