Today's woman has really come of age from being a submissive household figures to corporate executives who have taken over the world. Do you really think this revolution has happened? Are today's women truly smarter than men?

There is no doubt in it, women are smarter than men now a day

I donot understand when you talk about women..you take handful or good examples and make a statement that it is true for all women...i donot think woman has became smarter then men...maybe in exams they overtook men but once they step in reality it different picture all together..first of all you have to define what you mean by smartness..do you mean runnning a company, becoming leader of a nation ...in such cases you have only few names which can be written on paper...but on other side...do you mean smart means..maintaining boyfriends...using word "EX" more now a days and feeling proud of it..having affairs after marriage and love ( mostly lust ) before marriage and claiming that women has become modernized..then i feel that is not smartness at al..and one more thing..just go to rural villages..you see child marriages...and talented women who are locked in kitchen and treated just like a puppet and machine....i am sure...being a man...i feel women are not smarter then men...but in a long distant future they will become...

well then i must say that it was not good to you..... as you have seen the growth in a girl/women so you should understand the change in the thinking in the society..... and in the olden days it was not only men forcing a girl not to study..... so in that case the society has started to think & accept the things done by a women... now she is not looked down if a girl comes home late.....i agree whatever you say but still i think its the society, the general public is the one who should change their thinking against a girl/women.... i myself support or praise my friends who do such things, but there are still areas of improvement in the thinking of the society..... i hope you get my message......

See woman was always smarter. Be it in home making or corporate affair or politics. After ages of dominance, now we explore the area of men, living and earning the same standard of so only now it is acknowledged.

@sonia - first of all i think this topic can be never ending discussion....... well if you want to make a debate on this then its ok but still i wanna say that today's woman has changed and the change is good for all....... accepting all their work & family balance just comapring it with the opposite sex for superlative approach is baseless...... there are things where woman are best and there are things where men are best...... and you need both everywhere...... i really don't know why its always a blame game in this topic but the only thing i can say is compete with someone superior than you rather than just competing with the opposite sex..... only then i think you can be better lookup as a good citizen....... thanks, have a great day

This is true only of urban women who are cosmopolitan. Go into the villages & rural areas & you will realise what's happening.

I think they are. Women really are more than just home makers. They are working outside the house, taking care of families & multitasksing. Today's woman is not afraid of anything.
