It is in India because of some such traditions. Therefore, women take a turn like this . You see in western countries ladies are also involved like men. It is not totally due to biological difference.
It is culture that comes through time and experiences that ladies , get involved with family n God etc !! Culture , not only of Indian societies , but worldwide wherever thought process is involved women , the fairer sex , turn to family first and then to god !! It comes through their knowledge , experience amd wisdom !
