My mantra is to simply smile at her, say hi & look for excuses to talk to her about something or the other! That way I get to know that she's interested in me. Then I slowly say what I want to say & it's all cool.

You should drop hints so that the guy gets it! Once he's got it, he should make the move. He should also be direct about it & not dilly-dally, coz then he's sending confusing signals!

Well, I think that you should try to talk to her as much as you can. Keep her engaged in some conversation or the other about anything. That's a great way to start.
