I more often feel that why ppl are more painful to watch the success and happiness of others than their own pain and grief.
Is it natural or acquired from the society.

I think that is acquired from the society. We have learned from our parents and society to compare ourselves with the others right from our childhood.We measure our success or failure by comparing with the others.Our pain gets reduced when we see that others are also having a similar pain and our success looses it's value when we find others at the similar level of success. This is what it limits our true potential to handle the situation. But ultimately we are human being - SOCIAL ANIMAL.
