Kishore Kant
Topic owner: Kishore Kant: Hi guys, I heard in the news that for the screening of 'My name Is Khan' in Mumbai, there is Z security in the movie halls. Police personnel will be deployed at the gates & handbags will not be allowed inside. This is to prevent any untoward incidents from happening, especially from the side of the Shiv Sena. I don't think it is required. What do you guys think?

Ppb Sub
Ppb Sub Ofcourse yes ...

SRK says "Pakistan is good neighbour".. and he got paid for his loyalty, his movie screening is allowed in pakistan...

So who ever loves pakistan will get z+ security in india...

Since police force do not have any work they should be deployed for SRK and rahul could come any time and roam around with 25000 police standing on everywhere ...

Prakash Deshmukh
Prakash Deshmukh of course yes security is every one's right but not at the cost of individual gain. Here it was given for individual gain and protect personal gain by Mr. Ashok Chavan. He wanted to become hero in the eye of congress . He is not a gruh mantri and should have easily kept away from this issue but he took persaonl interest and made self pride issue. it is certainly connected with the visit of Rahul Gandhi where these people lift his shoes and tokari of flowers. These are senior people who are leading you and does not have personal pride or GUTS. Rahul did not allow them to follow him to Vile Parle's visit and had to go alone to Ghatkopar and wait for Rahul Gandhi who was enjoying train journey, for 2 hours who. These senior people were acting like Rahul gandhi is a PM . They have lost self pride AANI TALAVE CHATANARE LOK SAMANYA JANATECHE KADHICH BHALE KARU SHAKAT NAAHIT.

Prashant Pramod Kashyape
Prashant Pramod Ka.. every one blames shivsena or MNS,but no one takes into account the statement made by SRK. today in order to increase the TRP of his film he has given such a rediculous statement, tommorow SRK will say give kashmir to pakistan, also he will say give arunachal pradesh to china.then also people will blame MNS & SHIVSENA.as he is respectable person in india, then also he making such statement. today even after 60 years of independance we are in threat of terrorism from pakistan, all the things are happenings in front of us,but then also the people & media person will blame mns & shivsena.if raj or uddav had made the same statement as srk then the situation would be havoc.

hence i as a true Indian appeal to u that please do not watch "my name is khan" & also do not listen to the music of the film.also tell this message to true indians.

Suraj S
Suraj S Shiv Sainiks and Terrorists are quite alike, in the sense that whatever their targets be they manage to 'damange India' and 'break us apart'. And if you really think about it, they are equally different, Kasab won't kill a pakistani but these shiv sainiks will go any distance to hurt & kill even a mumbaikar on the name of what? absolutely dont understand. The way all this is affecting the life of a common man is so disheartening. The security is almost nothing if you can imagine if uncontroled what this can lead mumbai to. Believe a relegious RIOT amongst your own ppl is the last thing India needs, let alone mumbai. And can't stand reading all the comments across all the news papers and blogs and else ridiculing the filmmakers and the mumbai govt. So hard to believe that people just cannot see a clearer picture. Why do you have to hate a country for the misdeeds of a group of men. Believe me the ppl like Manmohan and many others sitting in delhi today are far far more eligible and capable of handling this country then you and me are. Just a thought for your mind, If i or you were any better we wont be sitting here arguing over social nw sites. We need to stand by what is right and raise a voice against what is wrong. Sure not all can think alike, but voilence is not a thought its an act that needs to be 'checked', its not The Answer.

Mani Shankar
Mani Shankar Hi I do not want to talk about political parties. It is sheer nonsense to spend so much of official power ,energy and money on a subject of entertainment. Their are so many important issues related to survival of common man. Official power and money should be spent on these issues. shortage of electricity, suicide of farmers

Sameer Sam
Sameer Sam Even if it comes from tax payers pocket still we should go ahead, check for thackeray security and his siblings since last 15 years they are having security from tax payers for no reason. here atleast we should encourage SRK for not bending in front of this holligans like bal thackeray, who can do anything for being in power, i dont think thackeray has done any thing good till now to mumbai or maharashtra, yes he has filled up his pocket like other politicians. and the poor mumbaikars suffer in there daily lifely hood.

yes he has done something like divided we indians into race religion and territorial boundaries. i personally feel if the police be on there duty properly, then not a single untoward incident would oocur throught mumbai and maharashtra. this all shiv sainiks are cowards they can't do any thing single handedly will come in groups, and if properly opposed then will surely run away. let such people like thackeray be out of our life and out of power and politics, as he cant dicatate what he wants us to speak. lets have freedom of speech. thackeray history to promote his son, he sidelined other members who has either formed their own party or gone in some other party.

JO apno ka nahi huva khaak woh hum jaise aam hindustaniyon ka honga. ya hamara dard ka ahsas bhi honga asey thackeray ko.

Shankar Srinivasan
Shankar Srinivasan I think the issue is not about Z+ security to a film. It's about democracy in India. We may ./ may not agree with SRK's view that Pakistani players should be welcome to IPL.

Disagreement can be expressed by democratic means - speeches, articles, editorials etc. But bullying and hoolingan tactics cannot and should not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Amc Mumbai
Amc Mumbai i think if there is one person who thinks he can control everything in mumbai ... then he should be shown his place ... he should be shown that he and his men are not allowed to take the law into their own hands ... it might cost the tax payer ... but what abt the cost to the tax payer when he calls strikes and bandhs and burn buses and shops ????

Uttam Dutta
Uttam Dutta I see eye to eye with Anjali since there is no option left for the Government but to take precaution in order to avoid tribulation. We have already witnessed Shiv Sena and its sidekicks indulging in vandalizing public/private properties over petty issues.

Sach Ka Samna
Sach Ka Samna Who is paying for this z-plus security? What!!!!! its coming from our pockets. Taxpayers money? Why doesn't SRK uses profit from his movies to pay for security? After all he created controversies to promote the movie and now innocent poor people have to bear the brunt. There are people poor hungry and need help in India, we are interested in promoting movie. This is clear evidence in acting against interests of this nation and therefore traitor. I know people will come his defence, those who please pay for his Z-plus security if you got balls
on Wed, 10 Feb, 2010
Mohit Dhawan know you think it is coming from your pocket what when the same security was given to shiv sena ,well this is to show them no one is above democracy ,if these politician are concerned about poor they will dont differentiate marathi,up,bihar
on Thu, 11 Feb, 2010
Suraj S Home Minister My Chidambaram voiced a similar concern (afsos over non participation of pak player) before SRK did. You think he is a traior on those lines? Advani goes to Pak and praises Jinah (wanna compare that to this insident). Account of my and your taxes, any Idea where even a penny is being spent by the gov, that you are so damn woried that it is now misutilised behind a 'your so called traitor'? You may not have ever thrown a paisa to a begger or bought a hungry a meal in your life, but you are concerned about what others are doing with 'your tax money'. That is shallow. Sihv Sena is worse than any outsder. Think, the terrosits wont burn their own houses at least on the name of mumbaikars and 'outsiders'. Pure hipocrasy.
on Thu, 11 Feb, 2010
Sach Ka Samna AMC Mumbai, Thackeray didn't raise the issue, SRK did to promote his movie and be in limelight. To be honest both Thackeray and SRK must have milibaghat to make profits.
on Wed, 10 Feb, 2010

Vinay Ghosh Please, it's so not required! Can we please resolve this peacefully without getting into this whole mess?
on Wed, 10 Feb, 2010
Anjali Garg No, Vinay I think it's the need of the hour. There is an ongoing battle that has been going on for sometime now. This is just for safety reasons so that there is no problem. After all, it's better to be safe than to be sorry!

Suraj S @rohan, @Esha and all,
Guess this is not for the protection of the Movie Rels, or SRK or Karan. Believe this is for the protection of the Business Premises, their properties and more than anything else for the protection of you, me and every one else who is suspected to be affected by the unreasonable and totally unnecessary outburst of the Shiv Sainiks. History has loads to reflect on how a bunch of goons on the name of almost anything can affect even the most remotely sitting innocent in any part of the country like India. Godhara was an incedent which took thousands of innocent lives in Ahmedabad, no the cops were not supposed to sit and enjoy their Mahashivratri then. God forbid, if this mumbai crisis develops into anything close to a mob attack or riot, forget the MNIK issue, it will be all Hindu Muslim age old blood shed all over again. The money and policemen are worth this spend, if you get even 1% of what I am trying to say.
on Thu, 11 Feb, 2010
Esha Rathod Exactly, I agree. This is so crazy. Imagine, the poor policemen in Mumbai had to actually let go of their holiday on Mahashivratri for this! How bizarre.
