This one’s for all you music fans & Radio fanatics in the country. How many of you have hit a new city and immediately turned on the radio, hoping for good music? I do that all the time. Shakespeare said, “If music be the food of life, play on”.

I have always been a BIG fan of music. Whether it was M.J. or Kishore Kumar, as long as the music was good, I wudn’t let anybody change the channel. Or even lower the volume! Radio has always had its charm… and though ppl claim video killed the radio star, I still believe that its radio that keeps them going. I love it when I hear a new tune on the radio, and I’m just waiting in suspense for the jockey to mention the name of the artist, and the song. The first thing I do is queue it up on my download list. Sometimes the jockey talks too much, and then she/he (mostly she) forces me to change the channel. But hey, they get paid to talk, so talk they do.

We are also lucky to be in a country which is culturally so diverse. And fortunately not ALL channels play only bollywood. I have heard independent artists on radio, and those channels usually get my top vote. Be it assamese music, or tamil… language has never been a barrier for me. Music has no language, does it?

I have just moved to Delhi a week ago, and since there was no radio in the room, VH1 has been my only source of music. I could definitely use some tips regarding radio stations... looking for channels that play a good mix of english and hindi...
