Topic owner: Megha Talwar: One year ago in the tragic attack , Natwar and two other fishermen were killed by the terrorists .For almost a year, the Gujarat government deprived these families of compensation, saying the fishermen were still missing.
Now close to the first anniversary of 26/11the government is handing out a conditional compensation of Rs 50,000 rupees.
Has life changed for them ? no its still the same for them after a year aslo.

I dont think so anything has been changed in 1 year.Everything is the same , only what has changed is the life of the family members who lost their loved ones and which cant be replaced with anything.......Rest is the same...

Ofcourse things have changed. There are more government jobs created and many more given rights to shoot legally. Poor remains poor, half which will be jehadis and remaining half will complain before they die. Oh Lord, why can't humans just grow food and cattle, share it and live peacefully. Why o why I always have to get tempted to neighbours wife, why she is interesting than mine..so curious..I suppose I made the point..best is to stay away from the trouble.;-)

The NSG is India's elite counter terrorism force and post 26/11 there have been many developments made in their planning and executiong techniques, NSG can charter aircraft from eight private airlines for counter-terror operations to prevent a delay like the one that occurred during the Mumbai terrorist attack when precious time was lost in transporting commandos from New Delhi, new specialised skills, especially intervention in high rise buildings. We are training more commandos in helicopter interventions and enhancing weaponry and are procuring better equipment for surveillance and communication etc... so a lot is happening and will happen in India. we all should stand together and join our hands to fight with the terror.

Less than a fortnight before the first anniversary of the 26/11 attacks, I read about glaring security slip at the Trident Hotel in Mumbai as a plain clothes policeman carries a revolver into the hotel undetected by security guards, or metal detectors. Though hotel authorities have refused to comment on the episode. This incidence screams aloud– has anything really changed since 26/11

Yes, things have changed since 26/11, at least to some extent. For one, we have a Home Minister after a long time and can feel his presence. And thankfully we don’t even get to know how many times he changes his attire in a day because all white “vaestees” look alike. For another, we have a National Investigation Agency, a pan-India agency to better handle terror cases; we have better intra-agency coordination and intelligence-sharing; we have NSG hubs in more cities for quicker response than on 26/11; and our coastal security has improved, even if just a wee bit.

correct to some extent you should always be ready to help the suppresed one...to sort out things & yes physically its required by the civilians ...its India so we know it how it is...but not beyond the law & order...for that we have to help police in whatever way we can to stop evils come back.
Pls dont show your back when someone is affected whome you dont know...who know next it can be you & your closemates..
