Swine Flu: Ask A Doctor (Public)

Description :

Swine Flu is spreading like a pandemic. Every day new cases are being reported creating quite a panic in the society. I, being a doctor, thought of creating a group for itimes members where you can join in ask any question that comes to your mind about this disease.

First, I would like to assure you of the fact that if it is detected at the early stage, there is no reason to panic. Swine Flu can be easily completely cured. But the time of detection is crucial.

Even though I am a cardiologist, I am doing this as a social responsibility – to dispel the myths (don't believe in these myths) and reduce the panic in the society.

When the outbreak was declared , I was attending a fellowship programme in Italy & France, It spread from Mexico and US to Europe. Maybe, we were not serious at the initial stages. And it spread via international passengers to India.

I have closely observed its cases & reaction of society towards it in Europe & India. So taking into account our social responsibility, I am pleased to answer questions on H1 N1 .

I have got temperature for a day i have got tempaerature on 7th and got normal in a day after taking usual treatment. after 2-3 days i have got mild headache and fever but now that also is normal. I didn't have running nose or cough at all. however now i am feeling like my chest is jam but i can breathe easily. I assume this is due.. Swine flu spmtoms. i have sore throat for last 7-10 days, took some medicines they didnt work. then i got fever (arouund 100.2) and for the last two days my fever is 98.4 -99.6. i dont have running nose , but have actually blocked nose. breathing problem i have a blocked nose nad find its difficult to breathe, so i take hot vapour inhale or try to sneeze..then it becomes fine. cough fever runny nose in my 11 month old baby my 11 month old baby had a rectal temperature of 99.6 with severe cough runny blocked nose .both me and my husband were also down with99 fever with sore throat and cough runny nose. is it swine flu???should we get ourselves tested the fever has come down with medication. Swine Flu symptom I know that it is same as normal flu. But If anyone having cough, running nose and no fever for 3 days then is it also one symptom? And please suggest me what to do about my child.
