Sangi Sangat: Terrain of the subcontinent favors one state. The natural regional strengths in the two countires comlemnet others in making the whole region an econmoic whole. The people, their cultural attributes, their music, their customs, their history are all one.
It is inevitable that sometime in the distant rather than near future, the region will be one state. Whther the follow the model of USA or EU, remains immaterial.
As education brings enlightenment, awreness of collective strengths, supremecy of common cause rather than politics of division, tolerence rather than bigotory, the dawn of new era will emerge.

If we have direct threat from Terrorist it is ultimately indirect threat for you. If we will fail to counter these threats it will spread up to your country. Look at the history of Europe. They were most hated notions among each other. In two world wars they killed millions of their people. And now they are most loving nations. What happened to us??? Daryl Dias: The day is not far away when we will see peace in the sub- Continent, these are the last days of the satanic forces, we will soon see a united India and pakistan, were both the countries will retain their respective identities but they will have a union, simmiiar to that of the EU, the borders will then become irrilevent and millions of people who have families from both sides of the border and who are suffering immence pains on account of partition will be able to meet other frequently, also people from both sides of the border will be free to interact with each other and do business, we can choose friends but we cant choose neighbours and specially neighbours likd india and pakistan who share a same culture they are unseperable, they are just like 2 brothers who are sepearated and now fighting for their fathers property, but like all brothers who become one at soem stage after the fight, india and pakistan will be one, there is no boubt in my mind about this

Ibrahim Bilal: well... Ms Neha, it looks good on paper but the practicality of it will lead to complications which will make the situation even worse than it is now. For instance, a unified Govt will lead to nepotism and prejudice. And what about those people that have lost their lives and lands in partition of this state... It will be a slap on the faces of those soldiers who have fought and died in wars b/w Ind and Pak. It will be a slap on faces of those Muslim leaders that had dedicated their whole lives to create Pakistan. It will be in a way of saying that "We couldn't figure out what you were fighting for, but we have found peace in our own way". A united India is hard to digest for people on both sides
I believe the best way to tackle it is to bring peace and harmony between the countries in a composite manner... keeping both of them as separate entities and states... hold referendum in Kashmir to solve this once and for all... and make a union out of it like EU.

Dr Pinaki R Chakra..: Reminds me of Rudyard Kipling’s famous lines on East and West not meeting. Please do not cite Germany as a example, that was a separation forced upon externally based upon political ideology which changes regularly and which was destined to fail sooner or later. Here it is a mindset. The people of this particular faith believe that the sun rises and sets on their religion which is the only religion suited to exist for mankind. Any issue on this earth will be ultimately brought down to the common denominator of their religion. You cannot coexist with followers of this religion. I would say good riddance partly completed.
