New year and new beginnings!!!
I’ve made resolutions to ACHIEVE on three levels in 2010. Personal. Professional. And humanitarian.
In 2009 i acknowledge and lament that my love life was the Savannah desert and that it is only I that is responsible for it. Hanging out with Hanif (my ex) regulary, attending events and movie’s together sent “i’m busy” signals to all around. Then I went out on a limb for my friend Adnan Sami and got the limb scratched in the process!!! and once again put a (is she with him?) in many people’s minds!
2010 is the year I will focus on ME and sending correct signals to the universe to allow someone AMAZING into my life. I want John Denvers’ “Annies song” to enter my emotional space!! I’m so ready for love and romance this year!(specially if he’s made in the same mould as George Clooney was!!)
2009 I focussed on learning Urdu and the whole “zubaan ko saaf karna chahiye” process.. In 2010 i’m going to focus on learning the most romantic language on the planet... Italian. (it is in no way connected to the fact that George Clooney currently has an Italian wrapped around his waist)
In 2009 I can’t remember doing anything creative apart from painting Shekhar Kapurs home and putting in some furniture (he’s my Dad’s best friend..let me clarify before this becomes another scandal).... but in 2010 my creative pursuit will learning how to play the guitar. I have this wonderful visual of my family sitting around a campfire, with me strumming and them singing... i want this to be a reality this year.
On a humanitarian front 2009 was the year my foundation THE GRASSROOTS FOUNDATION was born.. in 2010 it is my resolution that we will bring over 500 solid homes, livelihood skills, education and farming reforms to the 5 villages we have adopted in Amethi.
And finally ... on the Professional front... I’ve always said i’m fortunate that I love to talk and get paid so well to do it.. however, i’ve been so busy with reality shows past couple of years.. I think it’s high time I start another talk show in 2010!!
Well... that’s my bucket list for 2010. Now it’s not enough to look up the stairs.. it’s important to walk up the stairs!!! Here goes....

At the outset of each new year people come up with lofty ambitions and high-sounding resolutions. Most of these end before they begin. But I found your ideas short, simple and feasible. Learning a new language is always a thrilling experience. It opens windows of knowledge and ways for new interactions.
