“I came to PFMI as a complete amateur as I was the Nivea Visage Wild Card Entry to this platform. I was doing my hotel management where there was no scope for modeling but this was something I always wanted to do. There were 20 finalists and each of them stood out in her own way. There was individual attention given to each of us by the trainers who contributed in a major way in building our confidence.

Not only the trainers, I have a learnt a lot from each of the other 19 girls who were there. I’ve made friends for a lifetime and I’m in touch with most of them.

It’s only now that’s it’s beginning to sink in that I won the crown. At that time, it came as a shock mixed with a lot of joy. It was a feeling of achieving a life-long dream. I wish I had words to describe how I felt, I guess you have to live it to feel it. My family, who has been extremely supportive, was there to witness the event. My brother specially flew in from Hyderabad where he’s studying to be there for me. It was a special moment as all their life, I have been known as their daughter and now, they were being known as my parents. All my close friends were there too, cheering for me and jumping with joy when my name was announced. I got so many messages that my phone shut off!

I’m the kind of person who sticks on to one goal and works towards it. I’m very focussed and at the moment, my only aim is to work towards the Miss Earth pageant which will take place in October.

My interests include Warli painting, batik, traveling, reading and playing basketball.”
