Vidya has been in the news off late for all kinds of reasons. Even though her work in the recently released 'Paa' was well appreciated, she was also unanimously voted as Bollywood's worst dressed actress.
An award-winning actress, Vidya is of Tamil descent. She began her career with music videos, soap operas and commercials.
Vidya's Bollywood debut came with the Bengali film, 'Bhalo Theko'. She then made her Hindi film debut with 'Parineeta' which won her a lot of critical acclaim.
Her first commercial success, however, came with 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' which established her firmly as a promising Bollywood actress.
