About Soha Ali Khan

Born into the family of the Royal Family of Pataudi. Soha Ali is a daughter of Sharmila Tagore, a noted and renowned film actress and so is her brother Saif Ali Khan. Not to mention her father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi who is a former captain of the Indian cricket team. Soha has worked in some notable projects and proved her acting skills.


Acting was not her initial choice of career and she worked with the Ford Foundation and Citibank. She continues to try her hand at various things like modeling for Globus and is also on the Advisory Board for Res Publica, an entrepreneur group.
Soha’s debut in Bollywood was with Anant Mahadevan’s Dil Maange More in the year 2004. Next year she did Pyaar Mein Twist and Shaadi No.1 both the movies failed on the boxoffice. Year 2006, Soha proved herself as an established actress with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Rang De Basanti, for which she won the IIFA Best Supporting Actress Award.

Ahista Ahista saw her as a jilted lover. Sudhir Mishra’s Khoya Khoya Chand was her next movie which earned her critical accliam. Then in 2008 her performance in Mumbai Meri Jaan was well appreciated.

Soha’s upcoming release in 2009 is Tum Mile.
