Topic owner: Dipankar Roy: Guys, there is a scene in 'Jail' in which Neil Nitin Mukesh appears fully nude! It is a scene which shows torture taking place in the jail & is very realistic as it portrays the reality of our judicial system. But obviously, it has become quite contoversial. What are your views on this? Should it be shown or not?

Kamlesh Gangwani
Kamlesh Gangwani What ? Male nudity ? Bollywood is getting ready for everything. First they want to catch Hollywood and then gradually eroding the market of Blue Film. One day there wil be all film normal nothing BLUE. Either everybody gets prepared for that or just don't watch movies any more. It is absurd first to make such schene and then ask public opinion. Certainly there will still many who enjoy such attachs on culture and then glamourize themselves as liberals and open minded. Such debite is worthless as nothing is going to stop.

Priya Narang
Priya Narang Neil has never believed in playing the chocolate boy hero even in his earlier films. So this comes as no surprise. Further he is not the only actor in Bollywood to have done a nude scene. We saw it partly in 'Saawariya' when Ranbir danced in a towel.

Sameer Malhotra I think showing male nudity of any kind is okay in Bollywood. As long as the scene is relevant to the storyline & is aesthetically shot. Moreover, there is already so much female nudity around, so why are we making such a hue & cry about male nudity??

Akangsha Rawat
Akangsha Rawat The frontal nudity scene is an essential element of the film. Even though director was asked by the Board to blur the nude scene, he disagreed as he wants the nation to see the reality of our judicial system. Neil has also gone further to say that the scene should not offend or distract anyone from the main theme of the film, as the narrative is high on emotional quotient.

Rohitansh Sharma The Censor Board has already given a U/A certificate to the film. Seven scenes, including a love-making scene between Neil & Mugdha have been chopped from the film. Also some abusive dialogues have also been deleted.
