टॉपिक रचेता: Megha Talwar: I thought i will raise this issue because Rahul Gandhi yesterday stated Don't consider me the future PM. And i wanna ask why not?
he is young, dynamic and above all has all the political understanding to lead the nation. So why not its time we give the strings to the young.

What say ?

Ashutosh Deodhar
Ashutosh Deodhar Why this debate? He is a gandhi and All gandhis in Indira gandhi parivaar are always considered as the only suitable option of PMship. SO forget this debate and see that he gets married soon. Otherwise if he doesnt have any kid, the congress party will dump itself as there wil be no gandhi option after Rahul. Afterall gandhis are owners of this country

Mohan Muralidhar Nayak
Mohan Muralidhar N.. As for the case of Rahul is concern I think .... yes he may have the capacity to be the PM in future But don't consider as only he is the man in India or in his party.May he attract the people by his dynamic, charm young look but to be a PM in India is never an easy issue.yes he is the general secretary of his party, may he is doing his work brilliantly, but the time will say wheather he will be a good PM or not.

In recent times he visited to the interior area of India, that shows his thinking to observe India so closely.

But in front of a future PM so much issues like

1)Population

2)Terrorism

3)Corruption

4)Security

5)Judiciary-----(So much cases pending.Lot of time taking to solve a case. From this we have to think the system should work speedy)

So a PM must think to tackle this issues

As an indian & a citizen of india I want a better India with no above issues whomay be the PM

who may be the PM

Priyank Thakur Why Not ME than !!

Hello friends >> If being young, smart, cute is the criteria than our Bollywood actors should take the lead. If being educated, young, having grassroot experience is the criteria than I too qualify..

But Why Him ??

He is spoon feeded all information about our Nation.

He studied abroad ( 15-25 lakh per year ) and his mother claims to have bank balance of 2-3 lakh only.

He is half Bharatiya half Italian.

He is a Catholic Christian, thus not having any idea of Hindu culture & Sentiments.

& he is not educated too, ask what are his degrees.

Why follow a congress puppet ?

why follow Dynasty system in 2009?

Why kill democracy? That too for this family that has always ruled?

If being the PM is serving the people, if this is a sacrifice, than my friends, I put my self forward for this post, I put YOU forward for this post, but not Master Raul Gandhi

thanks for being patient..

regards

Vande Mataram...

Pratik Dhoot
Pratik Dhoot I dont support any of the Congress Leaders.

They claim themselves secular altough they are not.

So I dont want Rahul Gandhi to become the PM.

Instead PM should be from the party who will work not to take care of their votebank but will work for development of India.

So My PM is Narendra Modi

Sach Ka Samna
Sach Ka Samna Lot of people are arguing that R Gandhi has not gone through the grass root level politics and has an advantage of the Gandhi dynasty. However, rising from the grass root level as a politician one mostly is corrupt or criminal. Atleast, Rahul journey from top to grass root level will be clean and less criminal.
on Mon, 23 Nov, 2009
Mohammad Mosaj Goh.. What do u mean by "less criminal "?
Are they suppose to have done crime to certain acceptable level.
WAKE UP !

Aby Chacko
Aby Chacko Let me be frank and say being a Gandhi should not be a disqualification either to be the PM...but I would say let him take up a minister's post and prove himself...

Pallav Jain
Pallav Jain I feel that it's another political stunt. By saying so he's silently putting the seeds in ppl's mind and they keep wondering y not!! Human psychology, u see. But in all honesty, I don't feel he's got enuf credentials (except being a Gandhi which generally is enuf for naive Indian's to vote) or experience to be a CM, let alone PM. I do not want to get into the debate of congress Vs BJP and all that, 'coz I believe they are all the same but in my opinion Modi is best suited to be our PM. Really need someone like him at helm.

Venkata Satish Namburi
Venkata Satish Nam.. Rahul as PM definitely not.

I think we have had enough of the Gandhi Family leading us. Tell me is there no othe Indian who can be the Prime Minister of India and Lead us.

If i were born as a Gandhi with the kind of lineage they have , the security , the money , no wory about the future i would also go down to the grass roots to understand people.

Come on there are so many other politicians.

who are much better than him.

I think the country and media should just ignore the gandhis and look for others who can lead us.

We need a real Indian born in a typical indian family midle class family to lead india next.

We need someone who is real, honest, hardworking, intelligent , natural and self made person to lead us.
on Sun, 22 Nov, 2009
Damanbir Brar dude..... who do u think is leading us now...... our current prime minister Mr. Manmohan Singh.. is an indian born in a typical middle class family, he is real, hardworking, honest and self made...... why are you looking far ahead.. you have him now...

Deep De
Deep De let him first become a cm or even a good minister and prove his mettle then it is worth debating if he could be a good pm .

as a pm he won't be able to recall tutored speeches and answer doctored questions like he does now . so given by his current profile it is useless debate.
there are few other leaders we should also consider: they are younger:.
priyanka's children , rahuls future children. i cannot think any more.

Shriniwas Katti
Shriniwas Katti Rahul is too immature for the post of PM. Remember how badly his father managed as PM ! He made a mess of LTTE problem. His contribution is a big '0' as PM. Rahul will be the chip of the old block if he becomes PM without any experience as an administrator. It is not enough to be the grand-grand son or the grand son or the son of a former PM !

Puspraj Prasad
Puspraj Prasad Mr.Rahul Gandhi is political heir of Congress party in the future.Any one should not have any doubt about this. The kind of nepotism and corporate like family oriented politics is prevalent in India particularly in the Congress and other regional parties, the time is not far when we will see the coronation of Mr. Rahul on the thrown of Delhi.

I am born in UP.UP has given many PMs from the Congress Party and others as well. The constituencies from where the congress leaders like Mrs Sonia and Rahul are elected remains the poorest in our country. Pine ko pani nahi milta Khane ko bhojan nahi milta( There is no clean water to drink and one square meal to get fed). These people talk about nation building and democracy.Where is the democracy in the Congress and Nation at all.Our country is facing many threats from inside and outside as well.We need a person who will herald us in the developed club of the world and who will bring policies that will heal the pain of millions who does not know who is our current prime minister is.We need a futuristic leader who will make India as leader in the world stage.

Winning the votes of innocent people is easy by never implemented promises .But winning the heart of 1.2 Billion Indians is tough be sheer of deeds. Congress party could not make that.If they could not make in last 60 years then can't make even 6000 years.Whether is the Pundit Nehru or his great Grand son Mr Rahul.

Zameer Ali
Zameer Ali For the Post of PM, we need someone Educated & Aggressive. Even Mr. Manmohansingh look weak. Rahul is Future of Indian Politics but he is too soft to deal with Indian Politics & Corruption. To be worlds powerful country, we need powerful person on that post.

Pawan Kumar
Pawan Kumar He has all what it takes to be a good leader.. He is our future PM for sure.. it's just a matter of some more experience.. He is a well educated , young Indian who has studied in a well developed country and knows how tax money can be used for welfare of general masses . He will be defiant against corruption... I believe he can take India to next level...

Ritu Raina
Ritu Raina I feel politics is the toughest thing to deal with...no doubt Rahul is young, dynamic and must be seen as future PM......at this time he is too young and inexperienced to be at the hot seat....i feel the most important eligibllity criteria is experience...i think.even he understands that....
on Fri, 20 Nov, 2009
Mithila Verma
Mithila Verma Time demands a dynamic leader... .. He can always be advised by experienced and he can be aggressive...

Paddy R
Paddy R He is a good politician who is being seasoned very well and has a huge mass following (a lot of young people think looking good = being good PM).

But Rahul Gandhi as a potential PM is a pretty scary thought. Firstly, we need to have a leader who can tell us the truth about his education and secondly, the country is not about poor and dalit tourism. He has yet to prove himself as a leader who can make decisions and give back something to the people who vote for him and his party.

Please do not get carried away by candy floss looks...it's our country at stake!

Mohammad Mosaj Goh.. 2day is my first day on this page, and till this point i have read some 15 odd replies......but this view of ur's is really thoughtful one.I salute u.
actually R.G is a new born baby, let him grow first n then talk about his ability to bcom a P.M of this nation.

Rahul Julka
Rahul Julka Rahul Gandhi with his antics qualify more for a bollywood actor then representing India on world stage. You can woo uneducated people by such theaterics but world is smart and require intelligent people. How can you even compare him to a true statesman like Vajpaye or even very intelligent man like Manmohan. He is too far from it and its high time that Indians should think more from head then getting carried away by emotions. We have huge threats from China and Pakistan on defense front and we need someone to steer India to a developed country status with a huge boost in economical status of country. I think its too early a call to even consider such immature options.

Shoaib Junaid
Shoaib Junaid Father Rajiv was literally thrown into the prime ministership at 40 when his mother, Indira Gandhi, was assassinated on October 31, 1984. Rajiv had only three years of political tutelage behind him then.

Rahul's ascension will be far more measured, orderly and crafted. He will for sure be a much smarter PM
on Thu, 19 Nov, 2009
Kiran Chawla
Kiran Chawla I am not sure about him being the PM now but Rahul is certain to join the cabinet in an appropriately capacity first and maybe then
on Thu, 19 Nov, 2009
Megha Chawla
Megha Chawla yes i second that, i think he is one of the most suitable contenders, look at him now the way he takes charge of the rallies and conducts himself in them. Rahul is a quick learner. His Hindi can be suitably rural when the occasion demands, he is humble, defers to elders and keeps a low profile

on Thu, 19 Nov, 2009
Mohammad Mosaj Goh.. if it is so then the hottest male of this nation should be made the P.M .
And by the way what is the measurement unit of "HOTTEST"
on Mon, 23 Nov, 2009
Shriniwas Katti Being so hotttttttttttttIt may be good for you young girl but it is not enough to be PM of a great nation.
on Sat, 21 Nov, 2009
Shishir Sharma @ Priya- for god sake we aren't talking about an ideal boyfriend qualities, relax
is he good enough to be the PM, I doubt he will be able to handle it

Prabhat Pilgaonkar
Prabhat Pilgaonkar Yea why not, looking at the present scenario , he is now well versed with the grassroots Congress cadre and how the party functions nationally.

on Thu, 19 Nov, 2009
Kapil Munshi For sure, and considering the way he dealt with Mayawati and her camp and all his tour to dalit areas, he now has the required grip on the intricacies of caste-based Indian politics.
